Civic Engagement 4.0 co-convenors proudly announce the publication of Civic Engagement in Asia: Transformative Learning for a Sustainable Future. In highlighting the critical role of civic engagement in achieving sustainability, the volume:

• Presents perspectives from 31 leading thinkers from countries in Asia on climate change
• Highlights the scholarly and practical work of Asian public intellectuals and change-makers
• Collates diverse cases studies showcasing rare insights into how sustainable development is tackled
• Discusses applications of transformative learning in the areas of advocacy, governance, and leadership.

The volume is the latest outcome of the workshop “Civic Engagement for a Just and Sustainable ASEAN: Our Stories and Practices” which was held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from August 11-15, 2017, co-hosted by Chulalongkorn University and the Indonesia Consortium for Religious Studies.
